Pork Donation

New Life Mills purchased 2 pigs during the Huron County 4H Swine Club annual auction at the Seaforth Fair. The processing was then donated by Zurich Meat Market, producing a total of 498 lbs dressed weight. The meat was then donated to the Ailsa Craig and Area Food Bank. Some needy families may now be able to enjoy prize winning pork for Thanksgiving dinner. The pigs were raised locally by Shawn & Eric Steeper of Parkhill. New Life Mills has a local facility located in Denfield. New Life Mills is a division of Parish and Heimbecker, a family owned Canadian business who is proud to give back to the community. Mark Isaac (General Manager of the Ailsa Craig and Area Food Bank), Chris Fullam (representing New Life Mills, Business Manager - Swine), and Shawn Steeper. Shawn and Eric are proud to participate in the 4H swine program and are especially happy that the result of their hard work is going back to the local community.
